On the Peugeot K-Jet the cold start injector grounds through the thermo-time switch. It gets its power directly from the ignition coil relay. The thermotime switch opens, interrupting the ground circuit after 0-20 seconds depending on coolant temperature at the switch. Your problem appears to be in the power circuit to the injector.
