Yesterday I drove a friend's 2004 Honda Accord V-6 for about 7 miles. Very nice car indeed, smooth, plenty of power etc.. also the full airbag system makes you feel pretty sfe inside.
BUT, when I hit rough stretches on the road, the bumps and noise came right into the cabin adn seat bottom. The brakes were over sensitive, and the steering was almost without any road feel.
later that evening I drove my 'quarter million mile" mi16. Compared to the 2004 Accord, it had more road feel in the steering; the suspension was quieter over rough road, and the the acceleration was not much more than 20% slower than the v-6 Accord. I suspect that the mi16 acceleration after 60mph is going to be faster than the Accord's.
Not bad for a car 19 year old car with 1/4 milion miles !
I put this in for members to take a look at how good a 1/4 million mile 405 can look/peroform. Not intended hare as a sales pitch.....
