OnOnI suspect, and I'd like a second opinion, differential failure.
Symptoms: gear backlash at seventy-five mph when letting off the gas, noticeable whine.
OnNow, when turning the wheel to the right at low speed, it sounds like grinding metal, much like worn out pads on rotors. It lessens when the brakes are applied. The pads are OK.
OnOnI do not want to drive the car because of the risk of total failure and lockup. Is that possible?
OnDoes anyone have a good used trannny fs?
