can someone explain the following..
why do different speakers have different resistances? is it
caused by gauge of wiring for the magnet , or amount of
turns? what happens if the resistance is not matched between
speakers and stereo? and how can you get around that
problem?
The Pioneer speakers I have put in the back shelf of my 405
can handle a lot, something silly like 160 watts each.. but
they are low resistance>? like 2/4 ohms..the stereo is
4x40watts, but I have no idea at what resistance..
anyway, any lessons appreciated..

I have a pair of Pioneers on the rear shelf and they sound
really good. I
also have a side busines selling audio, and my installers
always say
the instalation is critical for good sound and little
vibration.
Most of the time they end fabricating a wooden donut, fix
that to the car
and fix te speaker to the donut. Seems to quiet down
vibration and purify
sound.
