History: I first was indoctrinated by Time magazine in the fifties when they
carried Peugeot ads for the 403, most saying Road and Track said it was one
of the seven best-built cars in the world. In college, I got rides from
foreign students driving their new 404's on winding two-lane blacktops at speeds
American cars of that era could not handle, and I was hooked.
I've had the 404, 504, innumerable R17 Gordinis, Jeeps, etc.
Now 1991 SW8 Turbo 102,000. Engine rebuilt, excellent tranny, many new
parts, daily driver.
1991 405S Excellent engine, rebuilt tranny is now ok but the valve
body needs attention.
1989 Mi16 90,000. No rust. Excellent mechanically all around. Near
mint interior. Scary.
Special Interest: 1990 Citroën CX Turbo Série II. "Chick Magnet," once it's
running.
