Have you driven an AWD is the snow and slop yet?
Have you ever ice raced?
Have you ever seen Audi's video of their IMSA GT campaign in the 80's?
It's a bloomin' pity that the Jetta AWD SW is only available with V6 and not TDI.
Even bigger pity that I haven't brought a 405 TD AWD SW from Germany yet.
I grant you one thing, RWD is better for towing. I wouldn't even think of pulling my tow dolly with
a 405 but try following me in the winter with your 505.

I don't hate front wheel drive, I just prefer RWD!
Front wheels should steer and brake. Asking them to propel as well is just
giving them too much to do, IMHO. I don't mind driving FWD, but gee it's
hard to beat a good 505. While we are just exchanging opinions, (there is
no point in disputing taste) count me in with Joe on the new offerings -
they do nothing for me, either. The new PSA turbo-diesel technology - well,
that's a different matter!
