Yeah, notice I said *some*. If you do a lot of stop-n-go driving the mileage goes up. I have several friends with them, and they really are great city cars. Here in the Bay Area, Heavy traffic is the norm, not the exception, so a Hybrid is a great thing.

Plus even if you don't break even, you are saving gas and emissions, and when fuel prices suddenly rise because of some new crisis, you are covered. You also are spurring the development of more fuel-efficient cars.
