Skip,
I haven't been following the TDI stuff much lately,
so this is news to me, but I don't doubt it. On the
other hand, if you're looking for a car that isn't
going to have any problems, you might as well put off
your shopping for at least a millenium or so! I don't
know about you, but every model of car I have ever
seen, driven, heard of, or even thought about has had
some sort of design flaw or trouble. If you know of a
model without problems, please enlighten me!!!!
As far as cars go, however, my 302k 88 Golf has
never had any serious problems. Maybe I haven't
driven it enough, though!!! One significant design
flaw is the heater core that VW replaced under a
recall about 10 years ago.
But, we digress, this is the Peugeot group, so I'll
stop defending other cars.
Regards,
Ben Pender
