If I bought cars the same way I buy a washing
machine, clothes iron, or a TV, then I would probably
seriously what Consumer Reports has to say about cars.
I am a car guy, and as such, I consider a car much
more than a transportation appliance. Heck, the Golf
I have was always rated poorly, but it has given me
trouble-free 302k miles over the past 17 years, and
continues to do so.
Anyway, I would be seriously surprised if CR ever
rated any of the Peugeots highly. These were
sophisticated cars appreciated by people with
sophisticated tastes, most likely not the folks at
CR...
