Re: [Peugeot-L] re introduction

Hi Everyone,

I am enjoying the introductions. Its interesting finding out how everyone got involved in Peugeots and others. My name is Ben Pender, I'm 35 and I live in Southern Middle Tennessee (Decherd, TN). Its safe to say that there are no Peugeots around here!

I don't currently own a Peugeot, and never have. I have driven them, though. I spent 6 months in Aylesbury, England, in 1993, during which time I drove a borrowed bright red Mi16 5 speed. I don't remember what year it was, maybe 89. It was an impressive car with, as I recall, sweet engine, trans, and brakes. It handled really well, too. I probably put 4000 miles on it and loved every one. Getting used to shifting with my left arm/hand was the hardest part!

As far as cars go, I am into European cars from the 60's, 70's, and into the 80's. I would love to own a Peugeot in the future, perhaps a 204 or 404 coupe, or anything with a roof and two doors. One of the reasons I joined this group is to learn more about them, which is easy to do here.

One thing I have noticed is that there seems to be a large concentration of Pugs in and around Seattle, WA.  I'm sure others have thought about it, but why don't you Seattle people organize a meet or a club (if there isn't one already)?

Keep the lively comments and tech info coming. I love it.

Regards,
Ben Pender
