[Peugeot-L] Re: 405 STDT 1.9 - UK - smoking

thanks for all suggestions:

Ok, I saw the car on Friday. Started her up and found the following four things..

Blue oil-smelling smoke, and after 10 mins of running, the grass under the exhaust/muffler had black oil droplets on..

greyish smoke, smelt of deisel..see below

raditor showed full of coolant and no movement when idleing or revved, no obvious oil contamination..

One injector 'knocking'

So my guess is.. an oilway leak into a combustion chamber, causing the blue smoke and also causing a misfire and hence the grey smoke..?

I am wondering if I can do a head gasket swap where the car is, without skimming, and see if it will then get me home (100miles) Onrather that trailer etc...

any more thoughts?

John
