Interesting that Pininfarina as a marque was previously tried in the
United States. After the 1983 pullout of Fiat, in 1984 and 1985
Pininfarina continued the assembly and importation of the Fiat 124
Spyder. Bertone continued with the X1/9. They were then known as the
Pininfarina Azzurra and the Bertone X1/9.
