[Peugeot-L] 84 XN6 loosing water

After recently completing the longest cylinder head R&R in history I am noting that my in-the-plastic-bottle keeps going down. I have no idea where the coolant is disappearing to. I filled it a week ago, drove for three days and it was fine. Then yesterday after a long, mostly first gear commute, over a local bridge, I got home to see that there was just a couple of cups of coolant in the plastic run-off bottle, much less then had been there a few days before.

I, of course, suspect that it has something to do with the head gasket and will, when I get the courage, hook up the Stant ST-255 and pressurize the re-done radiator and pull a plug or two.

Might there be some other problem? I neither see nor smell coolant in the car (heater core) and everything in the engine compartment looks dry except where my tears have fallen. I can't imagine where the coolant is going.
Ken
