You're right, the idle is often messed up on the N9T. Does the idle
ever settle down or is it always high? You have a factory manual? The
book has a checklist of items for this.
Can't comment on the ABS, mine works perfectly. I'm pretty sure they
have a fail safe mode where if the ABS fails, the car will still stop.

Subject: [Peugeot-L] '88 turbo auto idle
I hope there is a simple answer but--- How do I lower the idle on my
turbo from the galloping 12-1400 rpm that it is now? I see a simple
stop screw (1/4",white steel?) with locknut set up as part of the
throttle but have the feeling it isnt that simple. Thought I'd ask
first.
I don't know much about the history of the car or how it got that way
etc.
Also, does the ABS system on these cars fail in a mode where you have
braking underway in normal driving BUT would likely not work in a panic
stop? I have the feeling the pedal isnt what it should be and both
branke and ABS light blink on and off periodically (is my head is in the
sand on this one...?)
The Good News:I was just told by the local legendary Pug shop that my 86
was the best example of a 505 they'd seen! Hooray. Too bad I got taken
to the cleaners along with the good news.....
Thanks in advance on the idle gossip
