Hi all, finally got everything back together on the wagon, but still
have almost zero braking! pedal goes almost to the floor. When I bled
all four wheels there was ample fluid coming from each bleed nipple,
but upon finishing there is just no pressure building up in the
system. I checked the vacuum supplied by the inlet manifold, it seems
to be sucking ok. What should I be checking to see if I can find out
why I have no brakes??
I'm wondering perhaps if the master cylinder has enough pressure to
pump fluid for a bleed but is no good for actual braking?? or perhaps
the servo assist is buggered??
Also if I have the engine running and I push the brake pedal right
down and keep it down after about 5 seconds I can feel it start to
very slowly sink even further towards the floor. There is no
difference in how the pedal feels with having the engine running or
not, it feels the same either way.
Please help me get this old diesel back out on the road!!
cheers
Richard
