I bought a kit that I can use to drill out the threads on a cylinder
that blew a spark plug, and then use an insert for new threads. I'd
like to do this with the head on, but I'm worried about debris from
the old threads get stuck in the cylinder. I've been told that a shop
would just use a vacuum to suck it out. I was wondering if I should
make sure that the piston is top dead center to make it easier to
vacuum out. And if so, what is the best way to do that for the
cylinder closest to the firewall.
Thanks
