Second the call for new cap! I also use Toyota red coolant. When it dries it leaves a pink crusty residue that's drop-dead easy to spot.

Note, if you're going to switch over, do a COMPLETE flush first. Isn't compatible with the standard green stuff.

I had a persistent coolant leak in my Cummins Diesel. I replaced the rad cap, end of problem.
Folks, the rad cap is always the first place to look and eliminate as a probable cause of coolant loss, seen it too many times to mention. The one thing that testing devices on the shop floor cannot replicate is stop and go traffic, where wild swings in temperature are the greatest and the demand on your cooling system is the highest.
