1987 STX, 196,000 miles. Dark grey with dark blue interior. Driven every
day until Jan 2004, then started up every couple of weeks. About a year ago
it wouldn't start, minor electrical problem from sitting probably, and
hasn't run since. One family car, always dealer serviced, last 12 years by
Reynolds Garage in CT. Ran, drove, stopped, and handled well but cosmetics,
interior, and non-essential accessories are mostly shot. Never in an
accident. Engine ran fine until parked, used a quart every 2,500 miles,
never apart. Auto was fine, rebuilt at about 125,000 miles. Brakes dealer
serviced just before parked. Interior well used and not in good shape. No
exterior rust out but some underneath rust. Car has not been garaged since
early 1990's and has held up well for New England but.... New rear torque
arms put in about 4/5 years ago. Front windshield a little scratched, one
rear window motor shot, trunk lock gone, speedometer broken, AC and sunroof
non-functioning.
Depending on one's needs, it would make a decent STX parts car. I don't
have time or inclination to remove individual parts. Free, as a complete
car, FOB its present location in Barton, VT. Will scrap May 1st if no
