Hi all,
I'm located in San Jose, CA and I need to find a good place to do some
machining work on my n9t that's currently being rebuilt. I've got
everything apart and I'd like to take the head to get checked out and
have a valve job done and whatever else it needs, valve seals
,etc.(maybe some head work on a flow bench if I'm lucky? Hmm) I've got
the block apart and would like to get the cylinders honed straight and
have it checked out. I'd like a place that comes well recommended and
may have had some experience already with this motor. I'm also looking
for a place that will treat me well and give me some guidance through
the process because this is the first time I've rebuilt a motor.
Basically I'm just wondering if anybody has recommendations for a
machine shop in the bay area. Thanks for any hints or suggestions that
you may have!
P.S. - 2 cracked pistons, #1 and #3. Minor cracks in between the
compression rings. I guess it's time to take it a little easier on the
motor after the rebuild, and better yet find some real engine management
;-).
