Don't know if this is any help, but I had fan problems in the 91 mi16
last summer. Under the front center grille, easy to remove, are the
two fans and, if I remember, two or three relays. All in front of
the radiator. I was on the road and had to try to take off the covers
of the relays and clean contacts. One was jammed and corroded.
Cleaning these up restored full function. I replaced the worst one
when I could. Anyway, there are some important relays up front there.
I can't help much with the rest of the circuit though.
