Hello, I just purchased a 404 wagon near Porland OR. Right now the car has an XM-7 and an
automatic tranny from a 504 in it. I love driving this car, but I'm a little worried about finding
parts for it. Specifically I need a tail light. I've seen tail lights for 404 sedans available on
ebay, but not the wagon tail light which is significantly different. Does anyone have any good
leads on a tail light? Another puzzler for me is the brake system. The repair book I have
says front drums with 2 cyld. per drum and a hydrovac. However my car has no hydrovac,
only one cyld per front drum, and the master cyld looks completely different from the
pictures in the book. My master cyld has two fluid reservoirs on it while the stock 404 has
only 1. Not to mention the hydrovac is gone. Perhaps the previous owner replaced the brake
system with that of a 504? This is my first Peugeot and so far I love it. For the most part it
looks/runs great. I plan on keeping her road worthy for a long time and any help you could
give me would be appreciated.
