There are 4 types:
Type 1: 4 pins, N.O. contact
Type 2: 4 pins, N.C. contact
Type 3: 5 pins, both N.O. and N.C. contacts
Type 4: 5 pins, both poles N.O.
Usually there is a diagram on the side that shows the internal hook up.
One tip: If you don't see the LED on before cranking, it means the ECU
isn't getting B+. It should go out once it detects the engine running.
