Peter, there are two types of standard 5-pin relay: the one you want energizes both output pins when energized; the other switches power from one output pin to the other when energized. All three in the bag are the same. Be sure the bag is oriented so moisture can drain out. The problem may well be with loose or corroded connections in the relay sockets. A drop of Stabilant on each pin would do wonders for that.
