Hi All,
I got a 306 XLD, 1996 that I have just taken in, with the intention of selling
on.
It has the electronic speedo arrangement (ie no physical speedo cable). It's
currently not working....
The speedo head appears to be ok, as when the ignition is turned on, the
needle rises from the stop, up to the zero, as if it's ready for action.
I know on Rover 820 models, the speed transducer that plugs into the gearbox
is a common failure. Does anybody know is this is also a common failure in
Pugs? I'm praying it's the transducer, and not the drive, as from looking at
the manual, the drive looks to be an absolute beeyatch of a thing to change!
Any advice appreciated!
Thanks,
James
