Hello,
After the frozen mayo disaster, when the oil blew out the dipstick and
all over the engine, I cleaned things up as best I could with a
degreaser spray bottle, very judiciously, followed by a light rinse.
I didn't drive the car until last Thursday and, on the drive home, the
mushy hose which runs from the auto trans cooler to the radiator
pissed out, and the car nearly overheated. It reached the area
temperature-wise at which the fans turn on.
I jerry-rigged the hose, and the car took five quarts of coolant at
least. Now, when I start off from hot, after the car has sat for ten
minutes or longer, the car acts as if it's not getting gas for about
five seconds.
What could I have screwed up in the area of the autobox cooler by
drenching the area with coolant, or could I have cooked a sensor? Any
suggestions?
Thank you, and don't even mention blown HG.
