Whether it's wires wet with rain or coolant, I usually douse the area
w/ WD40, or some other type of moisture displacer. Usually works.
Had 2 Peugs cut out on the highway in driving rain. Doused the wires
under the hood with whatever oil spray I had in the trunk at the
time, and I was able to restart and drive away in both cases.
Of course, your new trouble could be unrelated to your old trouble.
