Both Snap-on and MAC make an 8mm (that is the size of the recess) 3/8
drive square plug socket that will easily remove the plugs, filler and
drain, on the 5 spd. boxes. They also work for 504's. If King Kong
Automotive tightened the plugs too much before you got the car you can
use a convertor and employ a half-inch drive breaker bar to loosen the
plugs. I think the MAC tool number is: SC174. The official Peugeot
wrench is cleverly designed to slip off and shave a chunk off of your
knuckle, so try to avoid using it to remove the plugs.
