I'm trying to fix one of my Mi16s over the phone.
I bought it on eBay a couple months ago and haven't
been up close and personal with it yet.
There was a an electrical fire which seemed to originate in the power wire
from the alternator. The fire wiped out the injector wires, the idle speed motor
wires, the alt power wire and not much else.
My friend in MO has repaired the obvious and got the car started but the
motor "takes off" when it gets to 5K he turns off the ignition.
He has looked for air leaks but the hoses are all on.
It has new homemade intake manifold gaskets; well siliconed.
The butterflys appear closed.
OnSomebody previously has screwed the idle screw all the way in....
so maybe it some issue before the fire.
Any ideas??????
