[Peugeot-L] Re: 505 Front Suspension

Firstly let me apologize for those inundated by the multiple posts of the original message. I have no idea how that happened.

Anyway, I suspect that I now know why I have had no further responsed here to my follow-up message. Those who know the anatomy of this assembly are probably wondering "What the heck he is talking about!".  It would seem that this chunky rubber and steel mount unit does not break down into any smaller pieces for access the the bearings. It would seem that someone has been here before on this car and has re-assembled the strut assy WITHOUT the bearings!! Go figure! Certainly not what we expected to find :o). Also, from my previous posting do not get the idea that this is a rusty car, it is not so no, the bearing has not disintegrated from rust. Not sure why the upper mount was so firmly bonded to the strut shaft.

Thanks to all those who offered advise.

John
