Greetings from Texas.
I have been a Peugeot owner for thirty years and current car is 1988
Turbo S five Speed.
Trouble is, most of idiot lights and gauges on the dash do not work
and I have had to replace the turbocharger twice because there was no
indication from inside the car something was amiss. I have looked at
after-market gauges, but I do not want to clutter the interior of my
car unless it is necessary. A friend suggested looking at the onboard
diagnostics bus, as the car has an ECU. This sort of thing did not
become standard until the 1990's, so I am grasping for straws. If it
exists, then I can hook up a laptop, or build a monitoring system.
Question: Is there an ODB connector on my car? What sort of interface?
After reading Bosch manuals on Jetronic fuel injection and emissions
control, I am coming to think it is a closed system, with a blinking
light on the dash board.
