Modern turbos last quite a while. While my gas turbo (Volvo, Mitsu TD05) is on its second turbo at 195k miles, the first turbo (and transmission) were replaced under the new car warranty many years ago.

I would not hesitate to purchase another turbo car (and, in fact, I've only ever owned one non-turbo car).
