Bill,
Applying the rear brakes puts a downward torque on the torque tube
and hence the transmission mount, as well as a rearward pull on the
whole drive line. I think you said once that the floorpan is kind of
beat up and that the trans mount didn't fit back onto the floor studs
without some prying. Are you really sure that there is not some
untoward contact between driveline and floor, or between the fixed
part of the mount and the buffered part?
