I was driving home tonight on the dark and scary streets of Seattle and heard a "pop" and
a clatter from the rear of the car.
Pulling off and looking around I found the right side strut ball mount had broken away
from the body leaving a hole in the pillar. It almost looks like it was pop riveted. Hard to
really tell at night...
My first thought was to go up to that trailer place on Aurora (the first place that came to
mind where they weld every day) and see if they could tack the stub back on.
Any other thoughts, suggestions welcome.
The struts were not oem; I bought them from Schucks, a local auto parts chain, last
summer. They were stiff, but not overly so, imo, and were specific to the application, not
generic fits all...
