Cracked Head or Blown Gasket?

It's not obvious to me that, a car can run this well can have a cracked head or both conditions above. I thought engines would spit and mis-fire and not run well and tell you that something is amiss, under those conditions.
I guess, not.

No smoke coming out the rear end, and I will try the cylinder leak down test.
Readings from the coolant would indicate exhaust gases from a sample from the expansion tank, no?
