Whenever I park the car, it's on a level surface, and whenever I try to detect a leak, none is found. But
today, I had to get a ladder from the garage and I had to park the 505 wagon on the driveway which is
slanted about 10 degrees. In any case, my wife said that my car was leaking. I took a look and found
continuous slow rate of leaking from around the radiator mount on the left side facing front.
Question is, do I replace the radiator or can anyone recommend a STOP LEAK. I know that I have heard
from previous posts that STOP LEAKS should not be used, however, if I use it and it works for awhile,
then I'll know to replace the radiator. Or should I not make the attempt, and just get a new radiator?
Ideas?
(Also I built up pressure by starting the car and letting it idle for about 20 minutes. After the
thermostat opened, the hoses remained cool and pliable, is this a good sign or bad sign)?
