H4 halogen bulbs on P45t base
Upgrade your vintage European headlamps to modern-car light levels! These
updated halogen bulbs (above left) fit and work correctly in all 1950's
through 1980's European high/low beam headlamps originally equipped with
tungsten R2 bulbs (above right). Light output is much higher, life is much
longer.

Scroll down about ¾ way down with the bulbs… I’ve got both the biode sets
and the H4 sets and the Biode sets ARE much better…. Curious what the high
watt Narva bulbs would be like in the biode lights… :-)

Subject: [Peugeot-L] Re: 504 headlamp/phare question
Yes, I recognize them, they are for 304, not 504. I compared them to
images I have of 504 lamps and they are not large enough to be for
504. The biode lamps for 504 (double parabole) are usually hard to
get although there was a pair in Germany that went cheap, but the
seller would not ship to the US.
The biode lamps use two bulbs or "ampoules", a european spec hi/lo
and an H1 for hi also. The euro spec lamp can be converted to H4 but
you have to have the holder to do this, which means you have to find
bad lamps to sacrifice. You can buy the euro spec bulbs in the US but
they can be expensive.
The single bulb H4 lamps for 504 are more plentiful, I have a pair
recently acquired out of france, and another single coming soon. A
pair of Cibie and a single Marchal. The best glass appears to be
Cibie but the Marchal are very nice too. The Ducellier lamps are
really exquisite, the interior of the plastic housing is chrome
plated as well as the reflector. Neither Cibie nor Marchal
electroplate the housing.
Remember that you cannot mount them without the attachments which
although there are few, are still required.
Good luck, email me if you would like more information.
