thank you all for your responses!

  1. The throttle body has been checked for the basics, its functional, but is there something obvious i'm missing? is there a adjust that controls the initial butterflies position?
  2. throttle body gasket isn't leaking.
  3. TPS i haven't checked, and that we'll have to inspect. You can hear the microswitch open and close, but i would like to verify that electrically. (John if you could verify the pins to backprobe to check the TPS i'd appreciate it)
  4. I'll double check the harness for the TPS wires.
  5. the boot from AFM -> TB is good and leak free.
