i agree with ben and, brian. i've had multiple alternators / voltage regulators go bad on 505 turbo's..

i'm honestly done when it comes to fooling around with alternators on these cars. i've had them rebuilt, at different places, and still had problems. (i dont know if this is just bad luck or what). Getting stranded some where because of alternator failure isn't fun at all (i've had it happen, in the middle of oregon). If i get a new alternator for a 505, its a new valeo unit.
