I had that same problem. One year old rebuilt alternator. I took it out after checking the connections and it turns out the brushes had *WORN OUT*. Gotta love those jobber specials. Had a Genuine Valeo put in (at no charge) and it's good to go.

Have the alternator tested. I've reviewed the circuit and there's nothing else.
