Hello,
A few weeks ago, I had the sludge in the crankcase ventilation freeze, and several quarts of oil blew out the dipstick tube. I then had some running problems, and the CHECK ENGINE light came on, fault code 52.
I changed the part Thursday, O2 sensor, so apparently the literature I read was correct when it said that oil, anti-freeze, and/or undercoating on the outside of the sensor will or can cause it to fail.
And, I did use a generic sensor; it works fine.
Bill
