[Peugeot-L] damn those who don't understand

I got a call yesterday from the garage where I park that they'd had a 'little accident' with my wagon. URRRR. So I got up there to pick up the car and discovered shattered right tail light assembly, abraded bumper and torn 'insert' (the gray plastic between bumper and tailgate), dented and bent tailgate, etc. Of course, from an insurance viewpoint the car is totaled but not in my mind. The tail light can be replaced, the bumper can be cleaned up, the insert can be glued or cleaned up but the tailgate concerns me. I think a body shop can make an acceptable repair.

Here is my gripe- I get so tired of hearing: 1 'Well- you know it is a 21 year old car.' 2 'It's hard for the guys in the garage to drive, 1st gear is hard to find, it's hard for the boys to pick up their feet and not knock the driver side scuff plate out of place, .... and so on and so on.

I'm just venting to those who who hopefully understand. We own cars that we like, we take care of and maintain, they serve us well, we get pleasure from driving them, using them, and acknowledging the style and uniqueness,

Enough.
Thank you all for 'listening'

Warmest Regards to all,

Steven Klein
