Glad to hear that you picked up the 405 and had no issues! And that mileage worked out to about 5.56L/100KM which is about 42.7 MPG - and I think that's pretty damn good.

As for the fan - I'm also betting that the mechanic swapped out the existing fan for another motor - but he's done a crappy job of centering the fan blade on the shaft - or he somehow changed the blade that was on it to fit the shroud. What you have now is an imbalance in the fan when it's rotating and it certainly won't fix itself.

Easiest way to confirm is to visually inspect it when it's running. There's got to be a substantial wobble to it for you to feel it shake - so it should be something visible.

The fix should be simple enough - have a similar size electric fan assembly from another car that is close the factory dimensions fitted and wired in.

As for the AC switch - can you post a picture of it? Raminder said your car had a revised interior which was likely never seen in North America - but you never know what it might look like.
