Phil,
I have it carefully adjusted at .014", which is what the manual
indicates. The temp needle hangs out in the upper third of the gauge
during warm, daytime running. It never gets into the red and, as it
goes higher into the upper third of the gauge, the fan clicks in. The
other fan (mounted to the air conditioner radiator) goes on well before
the water pump one. I was wondering if that was natural or whether
they should be more synchronized..
Next step will be to check out radiator temp with a thermometer and
see how hot is is when the fan clutch kicks in.
