Re: [Peugeot-L] O2 sensor function: What if its clogged up?

Peat,

I'm not positive about the 505, but in most cable driven speedo/odos, the odometer is directly driven via the cable, so there is a direct link between the tranny output and the odometer. Thus, variations in the accuracy of the speedometer does not necessarily equate to inaccuracy in the odometer. I would measure the odometer against the milemarkers and simply calculate the error. As long as the tire size doesnt change and the cable doesnt break, that error shouldnt change, and can be integrated into milage calculations. And the error in the odo will be completely independent of the speedo error, which can, and will, change over time as the spring looses its tension, since there is no direct link between the cable and the needle.

Regards,
Ben Pender
