On the V6 here are what the various flash codes mean:
2 - Water temp sender out of range (bad or bad connection)
3 - Detonation sensor or wiring fault
5 - Load voltage from Injection ECU Out of range
6 - Open or weak signal from #1 spark plug wire transformer
The Spark plug transformer is the most common problem. This is an easy
thing to fabvricate without replacing any spark plug wires, I will post
details if anyone interested. I have X-Rays of the "official" one too.
The detonation sensor is the second most likely. It is almost always bad
connections, usually at the engine to firewall harness connector.
