I did that on one car a long time ago, but afterward I realized there isn't
much point. The rear wiper was defunct on that car, so I used one of the
wires from that switch to tie to the door switch wiring, which you can tap
off at the chime control module (only inches away). I rewired the rear
wiper switch so it would turn on ALL the lights, which was a much more
useful feature than wiring the rear light. On my most recent wagon, I
abandoned the earlier modification, but instead added a simple ground wire
to the rear light so you can turn it on inside the car. I presume Peugeot
left this out so kids wouldn't leave the light on. Having this mod is
especially handy when you are car camping inside the back. I also cut
perfect fitting mylar-covered bubble wrap to fit in all the windows. It
keeps the car very cool and is a great add-on if you are going to camp in
your Peug.
