An interesting discussion, as I expected. But..."temperature doesn't
affect tire pressure..." ???
Why is it standard procedure to check air pressure on COLD tires (less than 3 miles of driving)? Why do our tires show lower pressure as winter approaches?
The brochure says "with nitrogen, proper tire inflation is maintained for longer periods of time. With proper inflation you get improved gas mileage, improved tire life...handling...", etc. Doesn't sound all that farfetched.
