Askim seems like a nice guy. However, his shop seems to mainly do
Subaru work now.
If you're willing to go with a new starter, I'd check with Western
Hemispheres or FCP Groton, or whatever shop Custom Auto Works in Mill
Valley became.
Kragen wants $98 for a new Autolite branded unit (no core).
Used, I'd just check the yards around here. I didn't see any Peugeots
in the Oakland yard today. However, keep checking and one is bound to
turn up.
If you can wait, I'll have an answer from my European Volvo parts
source by Monday.
