Alan,
Have you checked fuel pressure while driving at full boost? I know
there was a TSB for 88 turbo's to have the tank changed to run the
in-tank fuel pump due to performance problems. The only other obvious
thing (which I imagine your on top of) is the TPS. How's the
continuity to the ECU? Have you tried setting it a little (low if i
remember right) so you'll hit the WOT area sooner?
Have you tried doing much parts swapping? AFM? ECU's?
Didn't Jonathan Mccurry have a surging problem with one of his 88 D
project cars a while back? Are you still in contact with him?
8000rpm rev limiter eh? How many miles on the motor if you don't mind
me asking?
Keep us updated, I'm curious to hear what you find out.
