Why would anyone pay US$35,000 for a 1970 504 when they can buy a 2005
504 wagon for $28500 from Nigeria? Surely it wouldn't cost $6,000 to get
it to the US? Or is this part of the strange US laws where you can't
import a new car - does that apply to a model that was sold new in the
US 30 years ago?

This one ain't cheap by any stretch. I don't get it. How can you
charge 3 times what a car cost new, unless it's some sort of
collectible car? I know, a car is worth whatever someone will pay for
it and I guess the idea is you only need one person to agree with your
price and you win.
